Description
Clomid is a popular anti-estrogen among bodybuilders, primarily used during post-cycle therapy (PCT) to restore hormonal balance and accelerate recovery after anabolic steroid use. It is typically used only by men in sports.
Features of the drug:
The active ingredient in Clomid is Clomiphene citrate, a selective estrogen receptor modulator (SERM). Clomiphene binds to estrogen receptors, blocking the activity of female hormones, which helps prevent gynecomastia and other unwanted side effects related to steroid use. Additionally, Clomiphene stimulates the production of gonadotropins—hormones responsible for regulating the natural synthesis of testosterone.
Clomid is available in tablet form. Unlike aromatase inhibitors such as Anastrozole, it does not block the aromatization process itself but rather prevents estrogen from exerting its effects. Due to its relatively short half-life, Clomid must be taken daily. The drug remains detectable in the bloodstream for up to 100 days after the last dose.
